I am Tenzin Nyima, I was born and brought up in Ravangla, South Sikkim, India. I did my schooling from Central School for Tibetan Darjeeling, West Bengal. I am a Traditional Tibetan medical practitioner who graduated from Men-Tsee-Khang; a premier institute of Tibetan medicine and Astrology in March 2008. I did one year of internship under the close supervision of our senior doctors. After my internship, I practiced in major cities of India like Itanagar, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Dehradun.
During my service at Men-Tsee-Khang, Tibetan Medical and Astro. Institute based in Dharamshala, India, I also travelled officially to the Kazakhstan several times and in USA west coast. I consulted many patients and also gave health talks and lectures on Tibetan Herbal medicine overseas.
In March 2019, I was awarded with Men-rampa (MD) degree by Men-Tsee-Khang at Dharamshala, HP. Beside working as a full-time regular clinic service at Men-Tsee-Khang, I also used to write on Tibetan Medicine and give health talks. I am the author of “Tibetan Buddhist Embryology”, a practical guide for everyone. I also gave a presentation in year 2012 International Conference on Tibetan Medicine Health in Dharamshala, HP.
I have been practicing for over sixteen years and my expertise is on assessing various health conditions and disorders through pulse reading and urinalysis and I have huge experiences in supporting patients having chronic gastric problems, neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, hepatitis, cancers, kidney disorders, skin problems, migraines, gynecological disorders etc. I am also confident in advising diet and lifestyle modification to the respective patients, I can recommend herbal supplements to respective patients, giving health awareness talks to the Tibetan community and other communities as well. Hence, my wide range of knowledge and skills will enable me to contribute immensely towards the well being and health care of the people of Canada.
Traditional Tibetan medicine considers mind and body as one entity, so many mental and emotional problems are associated with the disorder of loong bio-energy in Tibetan medicine. During my many years of practiced in India, I came across many patients with mental and emotional issues. Therefore, I can also contribute hugely in the well being of the mental and emotional health.
