2018 Keynote Speaker – Jan Kahehti:io Longboat

We are honoured and so excited to announce the Keynote Speaker at the 2018 Heartwood Gathering will be Jan Kahehti:io Longboat!

Jan Kahehti:io Longboat, Turtle Clan of the Mohawk Nation, is an Elder, educator, writer, herbalist, cultural advocate, and visionary, having dedicated her life to the dissemination and learning of Indigenous language and culture.

The gathering will be held at the Ganaraska Forest Center, near Port Hope, ON.
