David is an herbalist specializing in management of symptoms related to life threatening illness. He currently holds a professorship at Ontario Tech University and a permanent spot in computer science at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is currently the lead educator for Pallium, Canada’s primary educational organization for Palliative and Hospice care.

In all 3 areas, he teaches palliative care illness and its management, with a world focus in his work at World Health Organization and the United Nations World Food Program completed in 2024. 

He has completed studies in plant pharmacology at Trent University, McMaster University, the Ontario Cancer Institute and the University of Toronto. In this work he incorporates modern science with a deep interest in North American indigenous plant medicines, having spent 5 years working with the Cree and Blackfoot at Maskwacis reservation in Alberta. He has spent the last 12 years also working at Baycrest Health Sciences in the field of dementia care and healthy aging. 

He went on to teach for 10 years at the Canadian College of  Naturopathic Medicine and held the rank of professor, associate dean and academic dean, leading to succcessful accreditation with US medical schools. His research interests over the years have included studies on the sedative actions of Valerian root, the manipulation of neural regulation of immune organs using curare, tetrodotoxin and plant extracts such as those derived from Frankincense in the management of advanced kidney disease. This included major studies on colitis and ileitis, immune regulation with herbs and mindfulness and the nature of archetypal elements of death and dying in fatal illness.  

David is available by Zoom meeting or in person at the Christie Healing Center in downtown Toronto, Ontario.

  4. Treatment of complex female reproductive damage due to abortion and its complications leading to infections of the entire system. 
  5. Management of chronic depression with combinations of counseling and herbal adjuncts.

He is re establishing a new practice currently and is only developing social media now in restricted ways, he has done research on the harm that social media creates and prefers to deal with individuals with ordinary conversation. He has existing sites on Linked In which focus on his work on palliative care education and learning design in health sciences.
