~Make and Learn Howe to Use Your Own Medicine Chest~

In six one – day classes, we will ID, harvest and process herbs from spring to fall, in the wild or the garden.
Learn how to make and use your own salves, herbal extracts and tea blends for common ailments such as colds, flu, sprains, rashes, coughs, and digestive problems.
Six sessions designed to introduce students to identifying medicinal plants in the wild and in a herb garden. We will make about 17 different tinctures. Learning the basic technique for tincture making, salve making and sun infused oils. By the end of the course you will have and know how to use a basic herbal medicine chest. How to properly dry and store herbs will also be covered. Many students of this class have gone on to further their herbal studies and continue making their own medicines. The students are provided with a 50 page manual with herb monographs for all the herbs collected, a chemical constituent section and suggestions for combining tinctures and teas for different ailments.
